Since the scheme's inception in 2008, Flatdogs Camp has invested time, money and 3 years' effort into applying for a South Luangwa Eco Award. Today we discovered that we are the first winner of an award, so all our efforts have been worthwhile - we've been awarded a Silver medal!

From the 1st July until the 1st November 2009, Flatdogs will no longer be offering space for private camping or overland camping groups. This will allow more space for our new Luxury ensuite safari tents along the river front area and the standard ensuite tents set back from the river with views of the dambo and lagoon network behind camp. There will be a total of six Luxury tents and six Standard tents available to guests as well as the chalet rooms and the unique Jackalberry Treehouse.
