The Safari and Conservation Company

The Safari & Conservation Company has been formed through the passion and experience of the Roberts and Dyer families, third generation Kenyans, who have lived and worked in Kenya, and been involved in tourism, wildlife management and conservation for the past 40 years. This is an exciting portfolio of premier properties, with two air charter companies to complement the experience. The properties are located in diverse areas of Kenya, including the Masai Mara (Richard's Camp), Lewa Downs (Sirikoi Lodge), Baringo (Samatian), Laikipia (Borana Lodge and Laragai House) and on the stunning coast of Kenya (Manda Bay). Each of the properties is managed and run by members of the families, giving each of our guests a unique personalized experience, as well as an insight into the lifestyle and history of these two remarkable clans. In addition to a portfolio of exceptional properties, The Safari & Conservation Company offers adventure travel within East Africa, utilizing African Explorations, Riding Wild, Tropic Air & Manda Air Services. African Explorations specializes in tailor- made safaris, for the luxury adventurer. From Helicopter trips into Uganda, Rwanda or Sudan, to fly camps into remote areas or exploratory trips in search of rare animals and unexplored wilderness. Riding Wild takes equestrians into the heart of the African bush, whether you stay within the 37,000 acres of Borana Ranch or choose to venture on a 5 day trek off the farm into neighbouring tribal lands full of wildlife. Tropic Air, a fully operational Charter company based out of Nanyuki, with a full inventory of Helicopters, Cessna Caravans a vintage style Bi-Plane for scenic safaris and smaller single engine light aircraft for transfers all over East Africa. Manda Air Services is a smaller operation based out of Lamu, servicing the Lamu Archipelago and transferring Manda Bay clients into their own airstrip behind the lodge. The Safari & Conservation Company offices are located at Wilson Airport, in Wilson Business Park. SCC is a member of ATTA and Eco- tourism and is a fully insured and licensed ground handler.
