The unsettled weather patterns are still continuing. The general temperatures appear much cooler than we would normally expect at this time of year. Even though showers are expected in the northern Serengeti throughout this time, the showers seem heavier and more frequent.
The grass is still green, especially over the newly burnt areas, though on the Eastern end of the Park and into Loliondo, it is beginning to dry off.
As a consequence, the Migration herds are still spread out right across the Northern Serengeti area and into the Maasai Mara. There have been crossings of the Mara River for the patient, and the resident game throughout the area is very good.
