The last few weeks have seen very heavy rain in the northern Serengeti with the Mara River ready to burst its banks and rather sticky conditions for anyone operating up there. Most camps in the Lamai area are still closed for the rainy season but further south, the migration is hotting up.
Our Serengeti Safari Camp is still open and the guides working in the Ndutu/Moru area report that the herds are still stretching between Ndutu, Naabi and the Gol Kopjes and even a little bit towards Lemuta, but also now slowly moving towards Moru, the Hidden Valley towards the Western Corridor.
Confused about the migration or want to know where you should be at which times of the year? Here's a really quick, simple guide to who's doing what with whom and when in the Serengeti.
