Hi David, If you are a travel trade professional, Kamili may be able to assist you. We run a wide programme of fam trips to various African countries each year, with itineraries that incorporate stays at our partners' properties (and often including site inspections at competitors, to allow you to compare and contrast). Our 2014 schedule is yet to be finalised - in fact it is taking on a new format next year, whereby interested parties will help decide the final dates - but take a look under "fams" on our website : www.kamilisafaris.com which will give you a flavour of what's on offer. We will have fam trips to South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Ethiopia, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zanzibar.....and plenty more besides. Do drop us a line with your requirements and we'll assist wherever possible.

There is the option of both private and scheduled flights, from either Entebbe or Kajjansi - both in Uganda. Both have options that go to the north and south sides of the forest - your end destination will be determined by where you are tracking/staying. As you don't mention where you are coming from, you may also be interested that you can connect from Serengeti in Tanzania to northern Bwindi on the same day, and from Kigali to southern Bwindi. The latter is by private helicopter and involves (on a clear day) the most amazing views of the Virungas as you fly over the peaks. Do feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.

Saruni Camps Saruni Camps
From Saruni (www.saruni.com) Here is the message we sent to our suppliers (it can be quoted): Due to the VAT Act on Park/Conservancy fees newly introduced by the Kenya Government, since the 2nd September 2013 the conservancy fees have been taxed with an additional 16% for VAT. It is therefore inevitable that we increase the conservancy fees to all Saruni properties. I'm sure that this comes as an unpleasant surprise, and we have waited to see if the government was going to grant a delay in the implementation of this law, but this has not happened and like all the other Kenyan properties now we have to act accordingly. In a gesture of good will to our business partners, we have decided to absorb the cost for all bookings existing in our system that will be confirmed and paid for in full before the 14th September. On the 15th September, all unpaid bookings, provisional bookings and new bookings will have the conservation fees charged with the additional 16% VAT. Please click here to see the 2014 rack rates with the updated conservations fees. We appreciate your understanding. Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you have any queries.
