The Perfect Family Safari Destination in Kenya.

Join the Owner, Sophie Grant, to hear what makes El Karama the ideal destination for a family safari in Kenya as she describes their new Kids Bush School, Interactive Kitchen, Potting Shed activities and their family friendly lodge.

El Karama Lodge is an award-winning, intimate eco-tourism lodge specialising in family safaris and sustainable travel with exceptional wildlife and a record 430 recorded bird species. Over the past year,  owner Sophie Grant, herself a mum of 2 bush kids (!), and her team have developed a special kids education and adventure programme. The El Karama Bush School is aimed at children of all ages, all the activities originate from the wild and artistic family life of Sophie and her husband (acclaimed wildlife bronze sculptor) Murray Grant, and their passion for the natural world.

Family safaris with an experiential focus are becoming increasingly important in the tourism industry but in order to find the right property for your family groups it takes time to understand the finer details which parents need to know in order to feel relaxed before heading on safari.

It takes a mum to know what mums need in terms of bringing little ones on safari and as such Sophie Grant and the whole team have worked hard to develop a fantastic kids programme which genuinely works. It is the little things that matter to little people and which ensure that both kids and parents can relax safe in the knowledge that everyone is having a wonderful time. Forget everything you think you know about safaris:  this environment is like a playground for your family. It doesn’t have to be about long game drives in cars and staying quiet, it can be about immersion, adventure and fun. Nothing is off limits to children on safari, activities just need to be adapted and innovated to suit the ages and interests of your kids. Think barefoot living, with farm life and wildlife all rolled into one!

Sophie talks through all of the great kid’s activities they offer from modelling in termite clay and cooking in their interactive kitchen, to making plaster casts of lion paw prints and placing trail cameras out in the bush for surprise sightings! All of the little touches from their mini ranger safari packs which greet little guests to their kiddie friendly accommodation and meals that can be configured according to the ages / needs of your guests.

El Karama can tailor your guests stay to combine the real holiday feeling of sunny days splashing around in the pool with watching wildlife, eating delicious picnics under the shade of fever trees by the river, fishing, foraging and visiting the farm to get to know the baby calves and lambs and to pick your own food! Everyday ends with a camp fire under the stars, cosy beds and full hearts!

We invite you to join Sophie so you can be well informed to explain to future clients how El Karama is such a perfect place for family groups.

After the webinar a recording will be available. Please register even if you are unable to attend to receive a copy of the webinar. Thank you.
