Return of the Gooney Bird to Kenya

One of the worlds best known aircraft, the iconic DC3, known affectionately as the Gooney Bird, has joined the fleet at Mombasa Air Safari.

Based at Mombasa, the DC3 will fly daily services to the Masai Mara and is available for charter to other tourist spots in East Africa.

Registered as 5Y WOW, the aircraft has been named FURAHAH, Swahili for Happiness.

The MAS DC3 is not an old plane but a recently modified aircraft that now has a longer fuselage, lightweight floor, 32 airline seats with 37 inches leg room. A modern suite of avionics and new powerful turbine engines results in a perfect plane for Kenyas game parks.

Flights can be booked and paid on the MAS on-line reservation system.
