AirKenya to launch new domestic scheduled service in Uganda

AirKenya announced plans earlier this week to launch a new domestic scheduled service in Uganda, from 1st July 2012 (subject to the relevant licenses being awarded). The company visited Kampala to brief the tourism community on their plans and discussed their proposal with The Far Horizons in some detail. The routes are designed as hop on, hop off circuits, servicing some of the key tourism destinations in Uganda, including Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls National Parks. The plan is to run daily departures with fixed prices and no minimum no of pax - similar to the service already operated by AirKenya in the Maasai Mara. More information on the new service can be found here.
