The Last Lions UK premiere

The Last Lions has its UK premiere on Nat Geo Wild this Sunday 19 February at 9pm, repeated Monday 20 February at 4pm and Friday 24 February at 10pm. Filmed by Dereck and Beverly Joubert, Great Plains Conservation's co-founders and National Geographic Explorers-in-Residence, on location at Duba Plains in Botswana's Okavango Delta it tells a story of a lioness struggling to protect her cubs from jealous sisters, maurading males, wild-fires and prey that turn predator.

All proceeds of this film have been ploughed back into conserving these big cats through the work of various projects supported by the National Geographic Big Cats Initiative.
