You know those drives where it seems like no animals are out, your guests are reading books and listening to their iPods in the back of your vehicle? Sound familiar? On this course we will teach you how to turn those quiet game drives into something exciting by getting guests out of the car, choosing an interesting place for a coffee stop, and engaging them with your creative guiding techniques.
Besides these effective guiding techniques we will also cover the following topics:
Vito Vidogo power facts!
We'll enhance your knowledge and teach you new, interesting stories about some of the most common grasses, trees, insects, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, birds and stars seen on safari. These are the types of stories that will keep your guests engaged!
Ethology (Animal Behavior):
We'll focus on interactions between animals, including between individuals within the same species and also interactions between different species. This will be fun and useful information about the animal behavior you and your guests see while out on safari. We'll also look for signs of animal behavior that will keep your guests curious and engaged, even in the absence of wildlife!
Mindfulness:
Increase your awareness and teach your guests to appreciate everything they experience while out in the bush!
Everyday will start with a mindfulness session. This session will teach you techniques for using ALL of your senses. This will enhance your awareness skills and make you a better, more observant guide!
