The Rwanda Development Board has published a statement confirming the proposed rise in Rwanda gorilla permit prices to US$750 per permit. The new tariff is applicable on all new bookings for travel from 1st June 2012. Normal booking procedures for gorilla permits have resumed following this announcement and they are available for purchase at US$500 for all dates until 31st May 2012 and US$750 for all dates following that. RDB confirm gorilla permits will increase to $750

After reports earlier this week that the Rwanda Development Board were planning to increase the price of gorilla tracking permits to $750 (from $500) for tracking after 1st June 2012, they have now confirmed they will definitely go ahead with this scheme. Permits for tracking after 1st June will now cost $750.
