The Hide joins Kamili

Kamili is delighted to announce that the prestigious The Hide Safari Camp has joined their portfolio.

The multi-award winning camp has long been recognized as Hwange National Park’s finest property, with guests accommodated in just 10 stylish tents, on a plain overlooking a game-rich waterhole.

The Hide is joined in Kamili’s portfolio by its sister properties – both of which are newly opened.

To celebrate their 20th anniversary, the Hide has opened Tom’s Safari House – named after the late Tom Preston, who built the original camp. This exclusive property, built a short way from main camp, has three large luxury ensuite rooms, available to one single booking.

The House comes with private guide and vehicle, lounge, bar and dining room, as well as private house manager. The House overlooks The Hide’s famed waterhole, and upto 4 activities per day are included in the all-inclusive rack rate.

Changa Safari Campis a brand new luxury tented property set on the shores of Lake Kariba. Activities include game viewing by boat and vehicle, game walks, birding safaris and fishing – all within the Matusadona National Park. The camp faces south looking across what is known as Hydro bay, with a view of the magnificent Matusadona range of mountains in the background. Opened in October 2012, Changa has just 4 luxury tents, but this will increase to 8 tents after April 2013.

Kamili’s MD, Tim Henshall, commented “Adding a property with the stature of The Hide shows how far Kamili has come. We have worked hard to gain a reputation for marketing exceptional properties, all with sensible price tags. The Hide, Tom’s Safari House and Changa fit that bill perfectly, but it is still an enormous fillip on our cap to have them on board!”

Please note : The Hide’s on-going relationship with Exceptional Safaris (part of Three Cities) is unaffected by this partnership.
