Stanley Safari Lodge joins Robin Pope Safaris
It is with great excitement that we announce the takeover of Stanley Safari Lodge in Livingstone, Zambia by Robin Pope Safaris as of April 1st 2013. Both parties believe that this will see Stanley Safari Lodge grow from strength to strength under the Robin Pope Safaris banner.
Stanley Safari Lodge was built by Reinout de Gruijter and his wife Vinciane Geelhand de Merxem, opening in 2004. The beautiful and unique ten-roomed lodge is only three kilometers from the Victoria Falls. Stanley Safari Lodge enjoys a lovely remote setting on a hill bordering the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park with splendid and unmatched views of the spray of the Falls in the distance, the mighty Zambezi River and magical sunsets.
Stanley Safari Lodge is a welcome addition to the Robin Pope Safaris family, enhancing the Zambian circuit and experience for the latter. This also means the usual five star Robin Pope experience with highly personalised service is now available in the two premier destinations of Zambia; offering a more seamless safari.
Robin Pope Safaris was established in 1986, and has always been synonymous with excellent service, responsible tourism (pioneers of village tourism in Zambia and extremely active in various conservation initiatives) and expert guiding. The company is under the leadership of Rob Clifford, Margaux and Ton de Rooy. Robin Pope Safaris has properties in Zambia(South Luangwa National Park) and Malawi (Pumulani, Lake Malawiand Mkulumadzi, Majete Wildlife Reserve). Robin Pope Safaris is also set to open a new property in Malawi’s Liwonde National Park – adding another safari experience in that country.
For a smooth transition, Reinout will work hand in hand (on the marketing side) with the Robin Pope Safaris team. Reinout is for us an important partner and may from time to time still be seen marketing his baby!
Robin Pope Safaris will honour all bookings currently in place for the lodge at the contracted rates. Contracts in place at the moment will also be met where possible. Your booking process with Stanley Safaris remains unaffected and you can keep emailing the address you used before.
Please feel free to contact Robin Pope Safarisor Reinoutwith any queries that you may have.
Reinout and the RPS team!
