Cottar's 1920s Safari Camp Strikes Gold

It's been a busy few months at Gold eco-rated Cottar's 1920s Safari Camp in Kenya.

Not only have Calvin, Louise and the team unveiled a brand new 25m swimming pool - the only small luxury property in the Mara to offer its guests a dip in the pool - but they've also been putting their finishing touches to their Maasai Warrior School! Children visiting Cottar's over the summer holidays can enrol at the 'school' for lessons in fire-building, spear-throwing, bow-and-arrow practice and the well known adamu jumping dance. Young warriors will also participate in a traditional blessing ceremony, on completing the course, and awarded a certificate, bow and arrow for life in the bush.
