Family Safaris With Nomad Tanzania

This Summer, Nomad Tanzania has turned its hand to creating bespoke, family-specific safari experiences throughout Tanzania with the launch of Mkombe’s House Lamai and family tents at four of their most popular camps: Serengeti Safari Camp, Kuro Tarangire, Nduara Loliondo and Kigelia Ruaha.

The new, adjoining family tents can house parents and children (above eight years old) in separate bedrooms, joined by a spacious living area giving parents their own freedom whilst ensuring their children’s security and comfort. The family tents have enabled Nomad to create a family friendly environment in which both children and parents can experience the joys of a safari holiday in a beautiful and safe location.  Mark Houldsworth, Founder of Nomad Tanzania commented, “There is something very special about experiencing a safari through the eyes of your children” and it is with the addition of the family tents, Nomad allows for that experience.

Mkombe’s House Lamai is the first, and only, private house available within the Serengeti National Park itself. It has been designed to accommodate families or groups in comfort with two stunning double rooms, each with an adjoining secure ‘childrens’ room and all with their own en suite bathrooms. From cots to car seats it has everything a family would need, as well as private guide and chef giving ultimate flexibility. Located just a few miles from the Mara River it is ideally located to catch the annual wildebeest migration as it crosses the Mara River between the Serengeti and the Masai Mara (July to October) and also boasts incredible year round big game including lion, leopard, cheetah, rhino, elephant and bufffalo.
