Rainbow Tours launches new Madagascar trips

The Daniel Austin Madagascar Wildlife Discovery Tour 2016, departing in October 2016, will showcase the widest range of Madagascar’s diverse habitats, from spectacular Marojejy National Park in the humid north-eastern rainforests to Anakao in the remote south-western sub-arid ‘spiny desert’. Tour leader Daniel Austin is a travel writer, naturalist, photographer and guide book author specialising exclusively in Madagascar.

Following the popularity of its Madagascar Wildlife Discovery Group Tour in 2015, Rainbow Tours has introduced four departure dates during September and October 2016, with prices remaining level.Highlights of the 18-day tour include Andasibe-Mantadia National Park where numerous species of lemur are the star attractions; Madagascar’s best known protected area Berenty Private Reserve; and Zombitse and Isalo National Parks, home to rare birds including the locally endemic Appert’s greenbul and the stately Giant coua.

The newly-designed Madagascar Birding & Wildlife Tailor-Made Tour caters to travellers particularly keen to discover the country’s wide variety of endemic bird species.
