Further Ethiopian senior female executives will enjoy the event onboard the flight.

Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam, explained:

“It is a great honor for us to have competent women aviation professionals at Ethiopian in every aspect of the aviation field. At Ethiopian we are delighted to be a gender responsive organization that works hard to be an equal opportunity employer. We are very proud of our female employees’ achievements and contributions both as a source of national pride for Ethiopia and a vital resource for the world at large. It is our sincere belief that this internal philosophy will continue and strengthen in order to sustain Ethiopian Airlines on its fast growth trajectory into our 70th year in 2016.

Above all, this is an excellent opportunity to inspire young African female students to believe in their dreams and embark to fill the skill gap for aviation professionals. Our world has a female population of over 3.6 billion and equal engagement and treatment in all aspects of life will mean significant increase in global economic growth.  Women are the continent’s greatest untapped resource and so Ethiopian are dedicated to ensure the increase in women in decision making positions in addition to in key operational areas by consistently mentoring and promoting female employees for top managerial, technical and operational positions. Gender Equality will be an important issue in the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and we are already on board to push this noble cause.”
