Kenya Airways makes Changes in its Top Management

Kenya Airways (KQ) one of the leading airlines in Africa declared the appointment of a new Acting Group Finance Director Mr. Dick Murianki who replaced Alex Mbugua with immediate effect.

Ambassador Dennis Awori, the KQ Chairman of the Board while making this public announcement said that the Group Finance Director position was going to be filled by way of a highly competitive interview that will get started soon.

Kenya Airways (KQ) is a key player in the transportation industry that ferries in people from different countries either on business or Safari in Uganda, Kenya and several other African countries.

The new Acting Group Finance Director Mr. Dick Murianki has been serving as the General Manager of Kenya Airways’ Cargo. Murianki has been in Kenya’s airline industry for more than twelve years and over that time he was worked in a number of positions in Kenya Airways such as Head of Financial Control, Finance Manager as well as Commercial Business Performance Manager.

Before he joined Kenya Airways, Murianki worked for more than eight years with Ernst & Young Public Accountants in business consultancy as well as accountancy roles. He has an MBA from Moi University in Kenya, plus a Bachelor of Commerce from Nairobi University.

In his closing remarks, Ambassador Awori publicized the resignation of one of the board members Joseph Nduva Muli plus the appointment of a new board member Irungu Nyakera who currently is the Principal Secretary for Transport within the Ministry of Transport & Infrastructure of Kenya.
