We Are Africa announces Major Partners for this year’s editionBy This Is Beyond
We Are Africa, Africa’s largest luxury trade show, has once again announced an impressive list of partners and reveals some new developments for this year’s edition.
Since launching in 2014, We Are Africa has taken African travel by storm by uniting the industry, challenging outdated perceptions of travel on the continent, and encouraging a fierce passion and shared intent to rebrand Africa as a modern, progressive and inspiring destination. This year an anticipated 250 suppliers, 265 buyers, and top international travel editors from the likes of Condé Nast Traveler, the BBC and Vanity Fair will again meet at the iconic Cape Town Stadium from 2-5 May.
SOUTH AFRICAN TOURISM – for the 3rd year running will be Headline Partner of the event.
The partnership reflects South African Tourism’s commitment to supporting the whole continent’s vibrant and diverse travel offering.
THE CITY OF CAPE TOWN – will again be Host City Partner. Over 700 delegates from around the world and the continent will experience some of Cape Town’s famous hospitality, with many staying in one of the seven luxury hotels We Are Africa has partnered with.
The event organizer is incorporating a number of local suppliers, with coffee shops and breweries providing refreshments to the international and pan-African crowd. We Are Africa have also once again united with Uthando: a Cape Town-based, innovative, non-profit and fair trade in tourism accredited company, which raises funds and assistance for local community development projects.
WILDERNESS SAFARIS – in response to the ground-breaking success of We Are Africa, and capitalising on the large volume of first class African travel buyers in Cape Town for the event,
Wilderness Safaris is partnering with the show to co-host our official opening cocktail at Cape
Town City Hall..
THE INNOVATION ZONE, POWERED BY PAYPAL – is part of We Are Africa’s intent to promote a progressive, dynamic Africa, birthplace of many world-changing innovations. The Innovation Zone will be a dedicated space on the show floor, established to connect forward-thinking travel brands with We Are Africa’s curated crowd of African exhibitors and international buyers and press. From revolutionary hospitality technology to F&B solutions and beyond, the Innovation Zone has already attracted a number of game-changers, such as TourPlan, SATIB, Wetu and Under the Influence. PayPal, who will be presenting their exciting solutions for the travel industry, will be headlining the space.
