Wilderness Safaris Announces Bisate Lodge GMs
By Wilderness SafarisWilderness Safaris is delighted to welcome Rob and Ingrid Baas as the General Managers for Bisate Lodge, due to open in Rwanda on 1 June 2017.
“After spending several years managing our camps in Kafue National Park in Zambia and driving our guest experience to new heights, we are thrilled to welcome Rob and Ingrid back to Wilderness Safaris as the GMs for Bisate. With their combined passion and respect for Africa, its people and wildlife, and their extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry, we are looking forward to having them at the helm of this exciting new lodge and pioneering conservation project”, said Wilderness Safaris COO Grant Woodrow.
“Bisate will be more than a lodge. Its vision of reforestation and rehabilitation means that each guest will contribute to biodiversity conservation and local community engagement. This will be a world-class example of sustainable conservation tourism making a dramatic, positive and far-reaching impact on the unique fauna and flora of a precious, increasingly rare, habitat”, said Rob and Ingrid.
Rob and Ingrid are currently based in Rwanda, recruiting the best team for the lodge, most of whom will come from the neighbouring communities, as well as sourcing the best local suppliers and partners to ensure that the Bisate offering will be world class. “We are confident that, together with our team, we will make Bisate Lodge a tremendous success” they concluded.
