Cape Whale Coast Marine Big 5 Safari

Escape+Explore

A day spent tracking the Marine Big 5 (The Southern Right Whale, Shark, Dolphin, Seal, and African Penguin). We head straight to Gansbaai for an exhilarating morning Fat biking the sand dunes and beach keeping a lookout for the Marine wildlife. Lunch is a charming affair served at The Tasting Room at Stanford Hills Estate with its interesting history, breath-taking views and locally sourced organic menu. Experience the Flight of the Giants in planes that make minimum noise and emit low frequency to allow the best possible airborne view of whales, sharks and the Southernmost tip of Africa. Our next stop is at Stony Point Nature Reserve home to a large colony of African Penguins in the quaint coastal town of Betty’s Bay. Heading back to Cape Town we will take the scenic R44 that hugs the coastline all the way from Walker Bay to False Bay. This picturesque route gives you an excellent chance of spotting whales and dolphin en-route too. Marine Big 5 Safari

Heat is another factor, with Madagascar’s hot climate and high temperatures it’s important for travellers to stay refreshed and hydrated throughout their journey, however this can result in an abundance of water bottle waste. Measures to cut down on this waste are absolutely necessary.
