Coming soon to Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe – the MV Zambezi Adventurer Transcruiser
By *Byran Rocher, Zambezi Cruise SafarisZambezi Cruise & Safaris are delighted to announce an addition to their existing fleet, with the launch of MV Zambezi Adventurer in April 2019. The aptly named “transcruiser” - which incorporates transport, transfers and cruising - is an impressive brand new 18 cabin vessel which will traverse Lake Kariba weekly over a 2-night cruise from Kariba to Binga and a 3-night cruise from Binga to Kariba, alternating weekly.
The vessel can travel with vehicles which is ideal for 4x4 adventurers and those who wish to travel by road independently. As well as giving Victoria Falls travelers an opportunity to experience a largely undiscovered area of Lake Kariba, one can soak up the stunning scenery whilst having the luxury of cruising the entire length of the lake at a leisurely pace.
All 18 full glass view cabins are en-suite and air-conditioned, with a large air-conditioned bar and dining/lounge area, plunge pool and various outdoor sundeck/game viewing areas. The MV Zambezi Adventurer will be accompanied by tender boats for guided game viewing and fishing which are included in the cruise package along with meals and non-alcoholic beverages.
CEO Phil Dobinson said “Crusing and especially river cruising is one of the biggest growth markets in the world. It is for this reason why we’ve invested substantially in the development of these vessels in Zimbabwe.”
Sailing dates will be set later this year for 2019 departures.
