Wildebeest Migration Reaches Seronera
By John Corse, Serengeti Balloon SafarisOver the past 2 days, Serengeti Balloon Safaris has observed increasing numbers of wildebeest in the Seronera area, culminating this morning in herds of thousands being seen from our balloons.
This timing is not unusual for the wildebeest migration as they slowly mow their way through the abundant grasses of the Serengeti ecosystem, via Seronera and Western Corridor to their dry season grazing around the Mara River in Northern Serengeti.
