Sanctuary Swala, Transformed

Swala restyled - June 8.jpg

Extraordinary moments await in an exclusive area of Tarangire.
Dine in the shade of ancient Baobab trees, sip expertly crafted gin cocktails overlooking a busy waterhole, and rest in spacious canvas pavilions with 180° views of the unfurling savannah.

Sanctuary Swala has been transformed with the addition of sumptuous new social spaces which blend naturally into the surrounding wilderness, and features a stylish restaurant serving local and international dishes, a chic gin bar and a wooden-decked boma for listening to the camp fire and the gentle murmur of the Tanzanian bush at nightfall.

The twelve large new pavilions – tents being far too modest a name for these luxurious spaces – are adorned with beautiful, bespoke furniture and artworks, and plush king-size beds for peaceful nights. Each has an expansive elevated terrace looking out over the waterhole, putting the rich animal life almost at a touching distance.
