New Baby Rhino born in Sera Rhino Sanctuary
By Elizabeth Orizio, SaruniWe are delighted to share with you the breaking news that Sera Community Conservancy in northern Kenya has welcomed a newborn rhino this past weekend.
‘Naitamany’ who was translocated to Sera from Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in 2015 gave birth soon after in 2016 to female calf ‘Ntangaswa’.
This is her second birth and reports are that mother & calf are bonding well in peace. With recently returned male calf ‘Loijupu’ currently being re-wilded in Sera, this now means 4 calves have been successfully and safely born in the first-owned and first-managed Rhino Sanctuary in East Africa. www.sarunirhinotracking.com
