Follow the golden string as African Bush Camps host three familiarization in May 2019

African Bush Camps invite you to experience the art of service on safari, join us pre or post We Are Africa 2019 on an authentic safari experience. 

  • The three-way effect: a taste of Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe - 6th  to 12th May
    • Spend the first 2 nights on the eastern edge of Botswana’s Okavango Delta at Khwai Bush Camp which traces the border of the Moremi Game Reserve. A truly magical setting ideal for year-round wildlife encounters. From here move on to 1 night at Linyanti Bush Camp which offers an intimate safari experience in a private concession on the border of Botswana’s iconic Chobe National Park. To broaden your untamed African experience we move to the banks of the Zambezi River with 1 night in beautifully designed Thorntree River Lodge, situated in Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, just 20 min upstream from Victoria Falls. Time permitting include a community tour to Maunage Village. To complete the trip, we end with 2 nights at Somalisa Expeditions with a site inspection of Somalisa Camp and Somalisa Acacia. Sit in your armchair and let nature venture to you.

  • The best of Zimbabwe: Mana Pools, Lake Kariba & Hwange National Park, walking wild - 6th  to 12th May
    • This expedition will provide ample opportunity for tracking wildlife on foot. To start join us at Mana Pools, one of the most remote locations in Africa. Spend 1 night at Kanga Camp. Set in the remote inlands of the Kanga Pan, Included is a site visit to Zambezi Expeditions. The following 2 nights join us at the newest addition to the African Bush Camps collection at Nyamatusi Camp. On the banks of one of the oldest rivers in the world, Nyamatusi allows guests to experience an authentic view of the old untouched Africa. From Mana Pools we move to the shimmering waters of Lake Kariba. Enjoy 1 night in a lake view room at Bumi Hills Safari Lodge where the shoreline is wildlife-rich and makes for endless game-viewing opportunities. The final 2 nights will be spent at Somalisa Camp, located in Hwange National Park. Here our people are at the heart of everything we do. Include a site inspection of Somalisa Expeditions and time permitting a community tour to Dete village.

  • Heart-stirring Africa: community development and conservation in Africa - 17th to 24th May
    • We start this excursion with 2 nights at Thorntree River Lodge on the banks of Zambia looking over the glorious Zambezi River in Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park. The next night will be spent at Somalisa Camp, located in Hwange National Park. Here our people are at the heart of everything we do. Included is a site inspection of Somalisa Expeditions. The following 2 nights join us at the newest addition to the African Bush Camps collection, Nyamatusi Camp.
