Classic Portfolio welcomes a new camp in Zambia
By Ilse Ferreira, Classic PortfolioWe love wild, remote and untamed wilderness areas, and the North Luangwa National Park has always been one of our ultimate safari, pure escapism destinations. With this in mind, we are very excited to launch the latest camp operated by Remote Africa Safaris.
Opening July 2019, Takwela - meaning 'we have taken off' - offers a rare opportunity to visit an unexplored area of the vast North Luangwa wilderness. Built primarily from local, natural materials, the camp will be solar-powered and constructed with local skills. It will accommodate only 4 guests in 2 en-suite chalets each with 2 double beds. Two more chalets will be added in 2020. Guests can enjoy game drives and guided big game safari walks to explore different areas of the park.
