Refurbishments Refresh the Classic Elegance of Governors’ Loldia House

After two months of hard work throughout October and November, Loldia House is looking exceptionally elegant and beautiful.

We sought to upgrade and redesign an already wonderful product, but stay true to the rich heritage and settler-style comforts of the house. A new dining room in the main house, with high ceilings and deep green panelled walls, offers a warm and inviting space to enjoy a candlelit dinner. In the area that was previously the dining room, a new snug bar was created with lovely matt mahogany wood and blue-leather bar stools.

Every room has received an upgrade of soft furnishings throughout, with softly coloured fabrics maintaining Loldia's classic look and feel. Extensive upgrades were done in most bathrooms resulting in a clean and fresh look, with an all-white terrazzo finish interjected with splashes of colour from Kitengela recycled glassware and bunches of gorgeous flowers from Lake Naivasha's famed flower farms.

The original manager’s house has been converted into a new cottage with two separate large en-suite guest rooms with verandahs enjoying views down to the lake.

But perhaps the most exciting addition is the new infinity pool, which was enjoyed by all over the festive period! Positioned in a stunning location, it is elevated upon a rocky outcrop between two ancient fig trees - the perfect setting to lie back on one of the sun-beds and simply absorb the alluring sights of Mount Longonot and the infinite vistas over the lake.

Complimenting the beautiful new look of Loldia House is a swathe of safari and cultural activities which encompass a variety of eco-systems in the vicinity of Lake Naivasha - made possible by Loldia House's amazing and convenient location.

Loldia makes for a beautiful 3-night stay, enjoying a perfect combination of exploration and relaxation. Please follow these links to our updated Loldia House Image Library and iBrochure
