Join Dame Kelly Holmes to take on three incredible trail runs through Southern Malawi this October!

In October 2019, Colonel Dame Kelly Holmes will be returning to Malawi to headline ‘The Orbis Challenge - Sport with a Purpose' event. Along with 30 international participants, Dame Kelly will undertake three hill & extreme trail challenges including a 25km ascent of Mount Mulanje, Central Africa’s highest free standing mountain, a 20km traverse of Zomba Plateau, the country’s old colonial capital, and a scenic 20km race along the shores of Lake Malawiwitnessing the beauty of Malawi’s stunning scenery. 

The international team will be joined by Malawian runners for each challenge who will act as local guides and support crew and will form an integral part of the team. The runners will include Commonwealth Games athletes, Students and Community running teams.

The group will also visit a number of local community projects, supporting the prevention of infant malnutrition and the benefits of sport within Malawians’ daily lives, as well as enjoying a safari at Liwonde National Park.
