Ulendo Airlink launches new scheduled services to Blantyre
Malawian carrier, Ulendo Airlink has launched ticket sales for its third domestic route operating from the airlines Lilongwe base to Chileka International Airport in Malawi’s largest city, Blantyre.
Operating under the IATA airline designator W4, Ulendo Airlink will offer international and domestic travellers the chance to reach the countries commercial capital quickly and efficiently with excellent connections through Lilongwe’s Kamuzu International Airport to SAA, Kenya Airways and Ethiopian Airlines services.
Flights commence from September 23, 2019 using Dornier 228 - Ticket sales have been opened through Ulendo Airlink’s website www.flyulendo.com while partnering with Hahn Air to offer international travel agents the opportunity to book flights using their preferred Global Distribution Systems and enjoy the benefits of IATA’s Billing Settlement Plan (BSP) to facilitate easy ticketing of passenger itineraries.
Rob McConaghy, Chief Executive of Ulendo Airlink said: “Our focus has always been to address evolving travel needs in Malawi and we believe the inclusion of Blantyre in our network will make a significant contribution towards this. 2020 will see the launch of our services from Lilongwe to Malawi’s popular Southern Lakeshore and onward connection to Liwonde National Park to compliment our existing routes between Lilongwe, Likoma and Mzuzu. It is our hope that we can obtain the necessary approvals from regional aviation authorities to commence services between Lilongwe and Tete in Mozambique and formalise schedules to Mfuwe, Zambia in the coming year.”
