Community runs the extra mile
By *Leighanne Dawkins, Inyati Game Lodge#TeamInyati The Extra Mile, sponsored by Investec Rhino Lifeline is the Sabi Sands’ first trail run. The 10km or 21km trail traverses through the scenic areas on the borders of the Sabi Sands Wildtuin area. The route started at the Digital Learning Campus at Huntington Village and continued through the communities of Huntington and Justicia, finishing on the soccer field at Hunt Digital Learning Campus and Hundzukani Primary School.
The funds raised from the event go back into the communities around the area. This annual run, organised by More Community Trust in partnership with the Sabi Sand Pfunanani Trust, Endangered Wildlife Trust, and Good Work Foundation, has been described as one of the toughest, heart-warming, fun, and community-driven events that many of these seasoned runners have ever done. Well done to all of the incredible runners.
Come join us in 2021 for the trail run with a heart!
