Ocean plastic is estimated to kill millions of marine animals every year. Nearly 700 species, including endangered ones, are known to have been affected by it. What luggage should you take on safari?

The Safari Store

While luggage limitations vary from safari to safari, as a general rule, we recommend soft and squashable luggage – and have designed our luxury Rufiji™ and Mara&Meru™ luggage ranges specifically for African travel conditions. Many lodges around Africa are accessible only by light aircraft with strict luggage limitations and cramped holds. This is why we view a soft-sided bag as a safari essential. Similarly, overland safari 4x4s may have limited luggage space – another occasion where a traditional bulky hard suitcase isn’t ideal.
