B2B travel tradeshow, Experience Africa, returns for a third year

Experience Africa will take place from Monday 22nd to 24th June 2020 at CCT Venues Plus, Canary Wharf, London

Experience Africa offers a unique opportunity for UK and international buyers to meet hand-picked African suppliers in the UK. The invitation-only, B2B show provides delegates with up to 42 meeting opportunities as well as a full seminar programme, multiple networking events and three unforgettable evening events.

The show serves to promote African travel, an increasingly popular destination for travellers. With Namibia recently winning gold in the Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards, and eSwatini, South Africa and Tanzania appearing in Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2020, it’s clear that consumers are seeking adventures in Africa.

In 2020, over 20 African countries will be represented at the show including up and coming destinations in the tourism industry such as Lesotho, Ghana and Ethiopia. Along with some returning big names – Cheli & Peacock Safaris, Great Plains Conservation and The Liz McGrath Collection, to name a few – Experience Africa offers a platform for smaller and specialist operators.

2019 saw the introduction of the show’s ‘Life of Africa’ rooms, a space for everyone who keeps the travel industry alive, from creative journalists to passionate conservation experts. 2020 will see the ‘Life of Africa’ concept evolve, as well as an increased focus on sustainable and responsible tourism.

Byron Shirto, Event Director, says: “The feedback from Experience Africa’s first two years has been overwhelmingly positive, showing that our focused approach serves the needs of exhibitors, buyers and media. This year we’re particularly excited to expand and develop our seminar schedule, covering a range of topics including sustainability, marketing, travel trends and exciting destinations.”

Chris Mears, CEO of Atta, says: “Experience Africa has flourished in just three years to become the cornerstone event for the travel industry to work together to promote African tourism in the European market.”

Exhibitor spaces sold out in record time this year. However, buyers and media are still able to register until 24th April 2020. Tour operators and travel agents from across the UK, Europe and beyond are encouraged to apply soon to secure their space.
