Covid-19- A Message from One&Only Cape Town
By Debra Algie, One&Only Cape TownAt One&Only, our absolute priority is the health, safety and well-being of our guests and colleagues. Based on the travel advisory issued by the Government of South Africa on 23 March 2020, the South African borders have been closed, as well as all non-essential businesses. Therefore, we have closed One&Only Cape Town. We respect and observe all directives by governmental authorities.
Considering the above, please note that we will be waiving any cancellation or change fees, and will be happy to reconfirm your reservations for a date in the future. We also recommend that you contact your travel insurance provider, if applicable.
We will continue to remain vigilant about the health and safety of all our guests and colleagues, without compromising your guest experience. We adhere to the highest health and safety standards while following the best-in-class protocols that allow us as to be fully prepared for all situations, and of course, we follow the direct instructions from our Government.
Travel should be celebrated, as it brings joy to all of us. We are doing everything we can to provide a safe environment for a holiday full of Amazing Experiences and Everlasting Memories. We will also use this time to support our colleagues and their families.
Already whilst preparing for the resort closure, a “market day” was held; whereby colleagues and contractors could shop for fruit, vegetables and other perishables that were in the resort stores. The remaining food items were then taken to a local night shelter, who provide meals to the unemployed and homeless. We will continue to find ways to create joy and offer support.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to welcoming guests and visitors to One&Only Cape Town in the near future.
