Asilia I Continuing our Positive Impact

While the world responds to COVID-19 and travel has been on hold, never has Asilia's conservation and community work been more important. Even without guests, we have kept our camps open during the global lockdown because we believe maintaining a presence is essential. We have supported local rangers physically and financially and undertaken daily patrols ourselves to bolster security and safeguard wildlife. Working with our local communities, we have been providing them with vital supplies, continued employment and revenue streams.

As tourism reopens, we are optimistic there will be a reinvigorated desire from both guests and agents to guarantee travel as a force for good. With this in mind, we have prepared a library of more than 30 Positive Impact and cultural activities on offer from our camps, which you can find on our Agent Zone. We have merged the final list into 15 engaging factsheets that can be sent to guests along with their itinerary. The activities not only raise awareness and crucial funding for our positive impact partners, but also offer your guests a deeper, more enriched safari experience.  Due to COVID-19, cultural experiences and community visits have been put on hold to protect communities, guests and staff alike, but please keep them in mind for future bookings.

If you would like to learn more about Asilia’s Positive Impact initiatives, we have released our 2020 Positive Impact Report, which highlights the projects and partners we support across 19 regions of Tanzania and Kenya. In 2019, through our UD$5pppn conservation contribution and AsiliaGiving donations, together we have raised a staggering $338,000 for East African communities and wildlife protection.

A huge thank you to our supportive partners who have promoted Asilia, as this commitment has empowered us to continue to make a positive impact.

We couldn’t do it without you.
