Ultimate Safaris is preparing for you...
By Birgit Mohrmann, Ultimate Safaris NamibiaAs negotiations continue in Namibia for a controlled low risk opening of borders, probably with a test-phase being planned imminently, we are preparing to communicate all the hard work that has been done over the last three or so months to ensure that when Namibia does re-open, Ultimate Safaris is prepared.
After carefully assessing every foreseeable risk and tailoring preventative measures that ensure the health and safety of all our guests and tribe (staff), Ultimate Safaris is ready to welcome guests back to Namibia as soon as the necessary travel bans and lockdowns are lifted. However, we recognize that the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic will remain throughout 2020 and will probably also reach into 2021. New Best Operating Procedures (BOP’s) have therefore been put into place for all facets of the services and guest experiences we offer. Our BOP’s are in line with the guidelines issued by the Government of the Republic of Namibia for the hospitality industry, as well as the latest recommendations from leading authorities such as the World Health Organization and the CDC. The health and safety of our guests and tribe is our highest priority and our proposed measures should address all concerns travelers may have surrounding COVID-19 when on safari.
Our unique guest experience has been the foundation of travelling with Ultimate Safaris since our inception, and this has always included the provision of privacy and exclusivity. These form an important part of our new operational readiness procedures which are designed to safeguard the peace of mind of our guests.
