With almost 30 years’ experience in the travel industry, Kate has worked in almost every sector including tour operation, cruise, retail, hotel representation and publishing. Most recognised for her work in destination marketing and promotions for Tourism Australia during 15 years as marketing communications manager EMEA which incorporated regional award-winning work on the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, 2002 Sydney Gay Games, 2003 Rugby World Cup and the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games.  Kates passion for special interest travel was reinforced when she undertook the executive director role at AITO (Association of Independent Tour Operators) for 11 years, raising their brand and lobbying profile while leading their strategic and digital transformation.  Since leaving AITO in 2019, Kate has used her experience and skills as a consultant on a variety of projects for other associations, tour operators, a travel app, destinations and more recently on a DfID funded project to evaluate the tourism potential of Sierra Leone.

Kate is an honorary member of AITO and a board director of ATTA.
