Giraffe Manor Launches ‘Behind the Selfie’ Campaign
By Hildah Mumbi, The Safari CollectionThere’s more than meets the eye to Nairobi’s Giraffe Manor. This boutique lodge has been a breeding centre for endangered Rothschild’s giraffes longer than it’s been a hotel.
To coincide with World Giraffe Day last month, they launched a new campaign to raise awareness about the worrying decline of wild giraffes across Africa. The campaign encourages guests and supporters to tell the story behind the lens by sharing a few facts alongside their breakfast selfie or teatime giraffe snap.
For example, many people do not realise that there is only ONE giraffe left for every FOUR wild elephants.
