With the world facing a catastrophic loss of nature, there’s been a clarion call for governments, businesses and society to join forces as they tackle climate, ocean and land degradation. The result, the Global Goal to be Nature Positive by 2030, is set to be a turning point, and highlights what is needed for the natural world, people and economies to thrive.

From the savannas and rainforests of Central & East Africa and the woodlands of South Africa to the rocky clifftops of Zimbabwe’s remote southeast, Singita’s 100-year purpose to preserve and protect large areas of African wilderness for future generations has seen us play a leading role in the preservation of the continent’s unique landscapes, wildlife and cultures, and all of the non-profit Funds & Trusts we partner with prioritise biodiversity conservation, wildlife management, community partnerships and a commitment to tread lightly on the Earth.

As we transition out of the pandemic, it must underpinned by far-reaching restoration of biodiversity to support the recovery of our natural systems, our wellbeing, livelihoods and economies. The next ten years will see Singita and our conservation partners redouble our efforts to help halt and reverse biodiversity loss, ensure no further extinction of species, halve our ecological footprint, and achieve carbon neutrality. We are steadfast in our mission to contribute significantly to global conservation goals; and more than ever, our strategies focus on bringing about real, lasting and positive change.
