Mara Bushtops and Serengeti Bushtops are fixed, allowing us to establish stunning facilities. The latest addition, Roving Bushtops, has its main base in the central Serengeti and moves to Kusini in the Southern Serengeti in late November till March for the birthing season.
The Camps are united by the vision of Andy and Claudia Stuart, whose dream for Bushtops was simple: to create the world’s best safari destinations. That has meant an uncompromising focus on quality, innovation and care.
Quality means chasing perfection: we know it is impossible but it remains our constant professional goal.
Innovation is about constantly improving everything we do.
And for us, care means maintaining the highest standards of respectful oversight – of guests, flora, fauna, our community, partners, conservation responsibilities and resources.

Roving Bushtops can be booked exclusively in the northern Serengeti during the coming migration period from July to October 2020
This is an exceptional opportunity for anyone wanting to take advantage of Tanzania having reopened its borders and airports. With the annual migration passing through between July and October, the Northern Serengeti is likely to be virtually empty of visitors, letting family, friends or organisations view a cornucopia of wildlife in splendid isolation.

Mara Bushtops launches new walking safaris
One of the many advantages of being located in our own private conservancy is being able to run walking safaris directly from the camp. All you need is good walking shoes and a sense of adventure. A qualified, armed ranger, naturalist and Masai spotter lead the way (followed by a vehicle where accessible) bringing you to within a safe distance of a wide variety of game. En route they explain the tracks, markings, droppings and plant life which create the tableaux around you, with insights into how nature’s bounty provides food, medicine and resources for tribal life. You may never be closer to nature, at its most raw and unspoiled, than this.

A Hidden Gem - Kakiya Cave
We’re used to surprises in the Bush, but sometimes we get left open-mouthed. Finding a historic Masai cave in our conservancy at Mara Bushtops was just such an occasion. As a result, our excursions have just become even more exciting! We’d heard rumours of the cave’s existence, but after 10 years at Mara Bushtops, had no idea that within a 15 minute drive (and 10 minute hike) lay a centre of worship, sacrifice and communal gathering. It’s called the Kakiya cave and it i…
