Green Safaris strives to become the premier supplier of sustainable hospitality and tourism through the formation of partnerships between local communities, stakeholders and investors passionate about the environment and the safari industry.
The group started with the opening of Ila Safari Lodge, located in the Kafue National Park in Zambia. The lodge sits right on the banks of the Kafue River in an area of abundant wildlife and boasts 180 degree views out over the water. The lodge won the best Eko-lodge in Zambia Award, yet provides facilities of the highest quality to a maximum of 24 guests. It was also the first lodge in Zambia, offering Silent Safaris, though it' self developed eletcrical game-drive vehicle and eBoat.
In 2018, the group expanded with the acquisition of the already famous beach lodge, Kaya Mawa, situated on the stunning Likoma Island, in Lake Malawi.
In 2019, Green Safaris expanded its footprint in South Luangwa, via a pertnership agreement with Chikunto Safari Lodge, to enable a circuit, combining the pristine wilderness of the Kafue with the abundant game in South Luangwa and the stunning beach ecperience in Lake Malawi.
