Our Commitment to Responsible Tourism
Our eco-philosophy is one of barefoot luxury, focused on eco-friendly design and empowerment.
Solar power - We will use solar energy to power our lodges for most of the day and night. We will have a backup generator on hand for unforeseen necessity.
Eco-friendly pool - Instead of using salt or chlorine, our pools will use a natural reed system to filter the water.
Natural elements - We are using the elements for the lodges that already exist. Instead of tearing down the buildings and developing them again, we are utilizing and adapting what is already there. We will also be using natural elements for the production of the lodges. We have sourced surplus wood, excess local materials, etc.
Food - We have agreements with the surrounding villages to buy their fresh produce, thus empowering the people and supporting the villages in an on-going and sustainable way.
Staff Our - staff will all be locally sourced under the advisement of a management team who boast extensive understanding and sensitivity to the areas where our eco-lodges are located.
Educational Our - clients will all be given an educational and environmental presentation explaining how our lodges are environmentally friendly - we hope to increase the awareness and need for nature conservation.
Animals - We will ensure that our developments will not block the wildlife's paths, their habitation areas or disrupt them in any way. We manage a waterhole on our Elephant's Eye, Hwange, property to support the animals in the drier months.
