Located at one of the highest points of northern Kenya’s spectacular Laikipia region, The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille is regarded as one of Kenya’s most exclusive safari lodges.

A spectacular example of a pioneering conservation and community project, the lodge was donated to the local community by its passionate investors John and Gill Elias who continue to manage the property.

Ol Lentille offers serious wow factor and opened in 2007 as Laikipia’s first all villa lodge. It is an amazing example of sustainable tourism, community partnership, world class architecture and interior design. The variety of activities in Laikipia is endless making this part of Kenya an extra special place to visit.

The four private villas are one, two or three bedrooms and are all individually designed and themed offering an incredibly high standard of accommodation with discreet butler service and panoramic views. The property is ideally set up for families, groups of friends, honeymooners, and couples wanting privacy and exclusivity

The lodge is located in a private 40,000 acres of pristine hills and valleys and offers excellent sightings of elephant, leopard, wild dog, hyena, cheetah, zebra and greater kudu to name a few.

Exclusivity, incredible game viewing, authentic cultural experiences, numerous activities and first class hospitality is offered in abundance.

Laikipia is a stunning part of Kenya, dramatic, exclusive and an easy combination with the Maasai Mara. It is also a stand alone safari offering an off the beaten track experience with numerous activities to enjoy above and beyond your game drives.

In the Ol Lentille conservancy elephant numbers have really grown in recent years and most months they record several thousand sightings.  In the conservancy there is an incredible number of wild dog, there are six packs (averaging twenty) that traverse the area around the lodge so sightings year round is very good.

John and Gill Elias wanted to support the local community from the outset. They built the lodge and donated it to the community as a social enterprise and the benefits of this have profoundly changed the lives of the local community.

Guests experience a very personal and private stay in a spectacular wilderness setting coupled with authentic Maasai and Samburu culture. Four lavish villas offer privacy, exclusivity and spectacular views from every vista. The property also boasts a library, spa, and stunning infinity pool.

Ol Lentille offers a huge amount more than just its game viewing and exclusive accommodation. The concept here is doing what you like when you like.
