Samara Volunteer Programme
The Volunteer Programme at Samara in South Africa is now one year old.
Volunteers of all ages and from 14 different countries have come to work on land rehabilitation restoring degraded areas to their former glory and helping to contribute to this region's extraordinary biodiversity. Samara contains no less than 4 of South Africa's 7 vegetation biomes.
Volunteers receive a certificate from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University for their work in conservation and also help with post graduate research on cheetah and aardvark.
Costs £50 approx per day which includes transfers to and from Port Elizabeth airport. Volunteers can spend anything from two weeks to several months and also get involved in local community work in the nearby town.
