Where in the world the best returns coming from in the next decade?

Two of the biggest names in the US private equity industry recently shared their thoughts on investment in Africa at The New York Times conference and identified sub-Saharan Africa as one such geography for the best returns coming from in the next decade: There are 45 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, seven of the 10 fastest growing countries in the world are in sub-Saharan Africa.

EU and Ethiopia sign deal for roads and health

The EU Union signed a development grant with Ethiopia worth 212.4 million Euro (US$287m) to help finance road construction, and projects targeting health and drought resilience. Ethiopia, Africa's second most populous country after Nigeria, is midway through a five-year economic plan that foresees almost tripling the country's road network and beginning the building of 5,000 kilometres of new railway lines. Ethiopia's economy is now sub-Saharan Africa's fifth biggest economy, leapfrogging Kenya, after a decade of robust growth.
