This week at Atta HQ

Good morning, and welcome to Friday! Grab a hot brew, sit back and catch up on what we have been up to at Atta HQ this week…

We will now be bringing you these weekly updates – do you have anything you would like to see here? We would appreciate some feedback on what you love, what you really love, and what you simply don’t.

Our CEO Nigel returned from PURE, having had a successful show exhibiting with a number of our members. Most importantly, an alliance with Atta and SAT was confirmed and announced – we look forward to working with SAT and hope to be able to bring new benefits to you, our members, as a result of this.

Lina, along with our Chinese rep, Lin, from Travel World China, has been working on the Chinese newsletter that will be published six times a year, with four main sections:

  1. This is Africa! Exciting sightings, interesting facts
  2. Discover African Destinations – an overview of one African Destination
  3. About Atta
  4. What is Atta up to in Africa? Including updates from members

Our Portuguese and Spanish newsletters about New Routes in Africa were also released this week, featuring some of our members including Auric Air Services, Coastal Aviation, Airlink and Great Plains Selinda Camp, going out to new markets and expanding our reach. It is important for you to keep sending us your news, so we can send it out in the daily newsletter and these new publications; so please keep us updated.

We released tickets to our networking event in Cape Town on December the 5th. You can buy tickets here, with password xmas. We also published a list of all the exhibitions that we plan to be at in the first six months of 2014, with details on how to book them. Did you miss this email?  Find it here.

Following on from last week’s meeting with TripAdvisor, we sent out our first tip from them – how to get a business listed with the organisation. You can find this here.

In member news, we are happy to welcome Campiello Viaggi from Italy to the Atta family and would like to extend our welcome to them, as well as all of the new members who have joined us so far this year. Did you know that as an Atta member you can send two press releases to the worldwide media for free?

And as for me? I have been chasing up membership fees (we still have not received fees from 27% of you…), writing up contracts for WTM Africa and WTM Latin America, sent over 450 emails and had a cup of tea for every 22.5 of those!

Have a great weekend - Coranda
