Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife Conservation created in South Sudan
The prezident of South Sudan ordered the creation of new ministries for the nation, including for tourism as well as for disasters. Six more ministries have been created by the president including a wildlife conservation and tourism portfolio, a trade, commerce and investment ministry, as well as a ministry for disaster management and humanitarian affairs. No ministerial appointments have been made as of yet.
South Sudan has several national parks, the world’s largest wetland known as the Sudd and the White Nile, also known locally as Bahr el Jebel, running through the entire country from the border with Uganda to the border with the Republic of the Sudan.
