New Patron at Just A Drop

'Pointless' Host - Alexander Armstrong - To Become New Patron Of International Water Aid Charity, Just A Drop 

Just a Drop, the charity founded by Atta Director Fiona Jeffery, is delighted to announce actor, comedian and TV presenter, Alexander Armstrong is joining the charity as a patron.

Following an interview with Just a Drop’s Hon. President, Col. John Blashford Snell in February, Alexander said he was thrilled to be invited to be a patron for the charity, which provides clean, safe water and sanitation projects to communities worldwide. Alexander says, "I am proud to be joining the Just a Drop family. This is a small organisation that achieves a colossal amount all over the world. By providing communities with clean water supplies they are making a world of difference to thousands and thousands of lives."

Fiona Jeffery OBE - who founded the charity when she became a mother and discovered that just £1.00 could deliver safe water to a child for 10 years - says, “Since Just a Drop was formed, we have reached over one million people in over 30 countries around the world and we are delighted to have Alexander’s support in continuing this vital work. We’re all looking forward to working with him and know that his enthusiasm for our cause will inspire others to also get involved and make a real difference.”

Best known for being one half of BAFTA winning comedy duo 'Armstrong and Miller', Alexander has also turned his hand to straight acting and has starred in 'Love Life', 'Life Begins', 'Mutual Friends' and 'Hunderby'. He has hosted the TV quiz show 'Pointless' since it began in 2009 and frequently guest hosts comedy panel show 'Have I Got News for You'.
