Qatar increases Southern African presence
Qatar Airways is ramping up frequencies on the Johannesburg route from May 1. The airline will add three flights a week to its currently daily schedule to South Africa’s commercial capital. The 10 weekly flights would improve connections to destinations across its network, in particular to Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo and Manila. Qatar will put a Dreamliner B787 onto the Johannesburg, Cape Town and Maputo, Mozambique routes.
