Dubai carrier launches three new routes to Tanzania

Dubai-based airline flydubai has announced the launch of flights to Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. The new flights will start operations from October 2014, expanding the airline’s network in Africa to 12 destinations. The Dubai-based airline had also announced the launch of flights to Bujumbura in Burundi, Entebbe in Uganda and Kigali in Rwanda. Flights to these destinations will commence at the end of September 2014.

The Gambia Immigration Department under the Ministry of the Interior has introduced a biometric passport effective 22 September 2014. The new biometric passport fee is D3,000 which can be paid at any Ecobank branch in the country. New Dar es Salaam flight with Emirates

Emirates have confirmed the start of a second service to Dar es Salaam from October 26th. The new five times weekly service will complement Emirates’ existing daily operation. The new service will operate on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. It will depart Dubai as EK727 at 16:55 and arrive in Dar es Salaam at 21:50. The return flight EK728 will depart Dar es Salaam at 23:30 and arrive in Dubai at 06:20 the next day.
